A pre-D-Day upgrade to older Churchill MkIII tanks with added armor for both the turret and hull sides
and fitting of the standard 75mm tank gun. The added armor made it more likely to survive medium
caliber anti-tank gun hits at standard combat ranges.

Despite its early defects the Churchill evolved into one of the key British tanks of the war. In addition to serving in its traditional role, the Churchill was frequently adapted into specialist vehicles such as flame tanks, mobile bridges, armored personnel carriers, and armored engineer tanks. Retained after the war, the Churchill remained in British service until 1952.

The Churchill V was a Churchill III / IV which was equipped with a close support 95 mm howitzer in place of the main gun (47 rounds).

There is some stretching of textures in the front fenders that prevent proper weathering in that zone. Everything else, well,it looks like it found some muddy puddles on the way to your PC….

The Churchill became one of the most heavily armoured Allied tanks and, in that respect at least, was on a par with German tanks which made it a favourite with tank crews. Whilst slow, it was able to tackle terrain that other Allied tanks could not and this ability to go anywhere proved to be particularly advantageous on the steep winding roads of Italy, the thick hedgerows of Normandy and the mud and trees of the Reichswald.

31st Tank Brigade, 6th Guards Tank Brigade and 34th Tank Brigade plus a Churchill Mk.II from the Dieppe Raid in 1942.
