I’ve never seen one worn on the chest, and indeed, don’t even know how you would do that. The flag patches (which come in two sizes) are backed by Velcro and worn on either a Velcro tab on the shoulder, or on an angled Velcro patch on the arm, depending on the type of combat shirt or overgarment. There would also be no reason to put it on the helmet; far more common affectations include “cat eyes” on the back, for use in station-keeping on night marches/patrols or possibly subdued name tags though that seems to have been far more common with the OD green field cap than the helmet. The PPCLI cap badge on the sleeve is a nice touch but I’ve never seen this done in actual practice. More likely would be the white on red crescent shaped shoulder patch, first worn by the Patricias in 1914.
