This mod replaces the unit floating icons with period tactical symbols native to the armies they represent.

In this case the floating icons for the Germans use The German tactical symbol system and the floating icons for the US use the US tactical symbol system.

This is the version for Combat Mission Final Blitzkrieg and includes icons for US and German units.

This is the version for Combat Mission Beyond Normandy and includes icons for US (and the rest of the Western Allies) and German units.

Tactical Icons for CW forces, by A Canadian Cat

Updates to this mod have been discontinued. CW forces icons are now included in this mod. If you want try this you can follow the old instructions below with the additional step that this mod will need to be placed later in the load list. For example place the base icons linked above in a ‘z’ folder and place these icons in a ‘zz’ folder should work.

These floating icon packs are extension to the following CMBN mods:
Lo Vis Icons (http://cmmodsiii.greenasjade.net/?p=2375)

Niessuh contact icons (no longer available – as far as I can tell but contact icons are included in the base icons linked above)

You need to have one or both of the above for this to work properly. Due to
the way the icons are setup the HQ, FO and Sniper units share floating icons
between all allied nationalities. This means that you need the original Lo
Vis Icons for the 01 Green CW mod to fully work and that if you use the 01
Khaki CW mod your US HQ, FO and Sniper units will also be khaki. I recommend using the 01 Green CW mod along with the Lo Vis Icons mod so that no mod swapping is needed.

Tactical Icons 01 Green CW.brz
Green icons for the commonwealth forces that match the Lo Vis Icons. Depends on having Lo Vis Icons installed. If you do not have the Lo Vis Icons installed HQ, FO and sniper icons will continue to use the old symbols.

Tactical Icons 02 Khaki CW.brz
Khaki versions of the commonwealth forces icons. Same style as the Lo Vis Icons but Khaki instead of green (this mod will override the Tactical Icons 01 Green CW mod). If you have this installed then US HQ, FO and Sniper units will also have khaki coloured icons.

Tactical Icons Allied Contact Khaki.brz
Designed to go with the Niessuh contact icons and make the Allied contact icon khaki.
